Frequently asked Questions
Will we have a consultation?
We will visit you in your home to discuss your vision for the day. We will go through any special requests that you have, and use our experience of what works to help tailor our work to your day. Closer to the day we will contact you again to go through the finer details, making sure the story of your day is captured just how you want it.
Will you visit the venue?
Yes. Our vision for your day relies on knowing where the best shots can be captured. We like to have a venue firmly in our minds eye before the day. To ensure that you get all the images you want and that your requests can be carried out we will liaise with the venue closely and make sure any access needed is in place. Obviously some venues are well known and may not require a visit but if we feel that your requirements are slightly different to the norm we will gladly visit again to ensure that the day goes as smoothly as possible.
What photography format do you use?
We believe that the image quality and versatility that professional digital cameras bring to a shoot is second to none. Digital images are far easier to work with if you require any special effects or retouching, and this service is offered as part of our packages.
Which album manufacturers do you use?
For the brides wanting the very best in photographic presentation, we specialise in stunning Graphistudio Albums. A selection of the images captured on your Wedding Day are graphically enhanced and produced as a unique, one-off book by the artists in Italy that do all the printing for the Vatican. www.graphistudio.com
How many photographs will you take on the day?
There is no set rule for the number of photographs taken. Because we only use the highest quality digital cameras we can capture more images than would normally be taken using film. We hope to take around three or four hundred shots in order to offer you the widest choice of images for you to select for inclusion in your album.
Quality is important to you; we believe the choice of high resolution digital cameras means we capture your wedding day perfectly and enables us to deliver the same quality in our albums, prints and canvases.
We want to spend as much time as we can with our guests, how long will the photography take?
The majority of your pictures will be taken during the day to reflect the story of your Wedding as it unfolds. Of course there are usually the formal group shots which need to be taken, typically after the ceremony itself. These normally take around twenty minutes to complete and we are always happy to have a short break beforehand to enable your guest to greet you and for you to have a celebratory drink. Following the group shots I will work with you exclusively for a further twenty minutes or so to capture some images of the happy couple together.
How long do you stay on the day?
There are no fixed rules for how long we stay on the day as this is determined by many factors such as your choice of package, the order of events, number of guests and occasionally unforeseen circumstances.
When and how do we see the photographs?
We aim to have your photographs available to view online within five days of the wedding. The password protected gallery offers you and your guests a chance to view the images while we complete the design of your album.
How do we go about putting our album together?
Once you have returned from your honeymoon we will arrange to visit you at a convenient time. We will at this meeting show you the proof of your Graphistudio wedding storybook. Once you approve the album we will send off the digital images for printing to Graphistudio in Italy. Completion of the album then depends on the volume of work at the time of submission normally 3 - 6 weeks dependant on the time of year.
How many pictures can we have in our album?
The album is designed by us for you and the number of pictures included will vary from wedding to wedding. You will have chosen a package at the time of booking with a certain number of pages. Additional pages can be added at the design stage if required.
Can we order additional Albums?
Many couples decide to buy additional albums, perhaps for their parents or special friends. Typically our clients tend to prefer the 20 x 30 books for their parents. Also available are copies of the primary album in various sizes, please ask for details/prices.
How long will it take for our order album to arrive?
Our albums are individually designed and made for you. Each album we produce is different from the next one. They are a unique record of your day, which will delight you for years to come. Each photograph is thoroughly scrutinised at every stage of the process to ensure quality is maintained. Once the album design arrives with Graphistudio we are able to track it through every stage of production. We will deliver the album to you as soon as it arrives back in the UK. The exact time varies according to demand. We would expect to have it back with us within 30 days. ( Often sooner).
Can we order prints on canvas?
Yes! We can print any picture you wish onto canvas. These make an excellent show piece for your home and a fantastic gift for your parents and other special friends.
Will you travel to cover my wedding?
We will be happy to travel almost anywhere in the world, obviously if this involves leaving the country the cost of flights and hotels will be passed on! These costs can be discussed in your initial consultation. Some parts of the U.K. are further than is sensible to travel in one day and may require an overnight stay; if this is the case accommodation will be charged at the rate for a local hotel. Fuel will be charged at cost for venues that are more than 50 miles from one of our bases these are in Wiltshire and Surrey.
How do we pay you?
At the time of booking a £200 booking fee is required to secure our services for the day. 30 days before your wedding the remaining balance is due. Payment by cheque please.
